| Nội dung | - Mario Tennis Fever có nội dung xoay quanh các trận tennis arcade nhịp độ nhanh, kết hợp nhân vật Mario quen thuộc với cơ chế "Fever Rackets" đặc biệt (vợt có hiệu ứng như đóng băng, thu nhỏ) và chế độ cốt truyện (Adventure Mode) nơi Mario và bạn bè bị biến thành em bé, phải học tennis để đánh bại quái vật, cùng nhiều chế độ khác như giải đấu (Tournament), thử thách (Trial Towers) và luật chơi bất ngờ (Mix it Up).
Cốt truyện (Adventure Mode - Baby Adventure): - Mario và nhóm bạn (Luigi, Peach, Bowser...) bị một con quái vật biến thành em bé trên đảo xa. Người chơi phải dùng kỹ năng tennis để "lớn lên", đánh bại quái vật và trở lại hình dạng ban đầu.
- Cơ chế "Fever Rackets": Các loại vợt đặc biệt mang lại hiệu ứng độc đáo như: đóng băng sân đấu (Ice Racket), thu nhỏ đối thủ (Mini Mushroom Racket), tạo phân thân (Shadow Racket), gây sát thương trực tiếp, v.v..
- Nhân vật đa dạng: Gồm 38 nhân vật có thể chơi, nhiều nhất trong series, từ Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, đến Goomba, Nabbit, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr.
